DSHS information for the week follows:
*No School Monday 9/7 in observance of Labor Day
*After school tutoring continues this week! All scholars are welcome to attend daily from 4-5pm. See the schedule attached below to see which teachers are available. All tutoring is held in the main campus. Scholars that scored below grade level in their benchmarks are invited to attend tutoring. Scholars with a D or F during Monday morning grade checks are required to attend. See you there!
*SkillsUSA is planning and organizing a community garage sale. All processes will go to one of our DSA family members in need. This will be for September 19th, 2026 from 8 AM - 11AM. If scholars or families would like to donate items they can drop off items in Mr. Sagasta class starting Monday Aug 21st through Sept. 17th, 2026. All unsold items will be donated to the Boy & Girls Club Fort Mohave. See attached flyer for more info

*DSHS Dress Code & Cellphone Reminders. Please see the attached dress code & cellphone policy flyers and review them with your scholar so that they are aware of the daily expectations for this school year.
*Please remember that for the 26-27 school year all scholars will be required to be dropped off in the gym. Doors open at 8am and school starts daily at 8:30am.Please see the DSHS Drop-Off & Pick-Up Procedures for 26-27 document attached for additional information.
*ParentVUE - The easiest way to keep up with your scholar’s grades and communicate with teachers is through DSA’s ParentVue using this link: https://dsa.apscc.org/PXP2_Login.aspx Please contact our school secretary Mrs. Megan Demmer at megan.demmer@dsak12.org to get your login information if you need it.
*Water bottles recommended - Due the current heat warning we recommend scholars bring their own water bottles to school. We have multiple water bottle fill up stations on campus for scholars to use if they bring their own water bottles.
**Food Truck! The DSA Scholar Council Salty Spartan food truck will be running everyday during lunch times. Cash and card is accepted. Scholars may also bring their own lunch from home and microwaves are available to use in the culinary room for food warm up.
